Project Details

The Peelers play loud, fun, raucous, aggressive, noisy garage rock. Their latest album, Let’s Detonate, shows them throwing a bit of new wave influence into that mix without even a hint of keyboards or toungue-in-cheekery anywhere. For their site I created a custom Flash+XML MP3 player that plays like an old cassette player from the 80s. When you click on a song title you hear the cassette being inserted, and when the song preloads you see and hear the tape rewinding. In addition I built a content management system so they could easily update many of the sections.
